Content Marketing Manager

We publish a lot, and the best of it genuinely helps someone who is trying to work out how to chase a late payment or what to put on an invoice. The worst of it exists because a keyword did.

You would own the difference: the calendar, the standards, and a fair amount of the writing yourself.

The work

The job:

• Own the content calendar and commission work from freelancers
• Write the cornerstone guides yourself
• Work with SEO on topics and search intent without writing for robots
• Hold editorial standards across everything published
• Repurpose into email, social and video

What we are looking for

Four or so years in content marketing, with published work you are proud of and happy to be judged on.

Excellent writing and editing — clear, specific, free of filler. Experience managing freelancers, and genuine interest in small business finance, which is less dry than it sounds once it is someone’s livelihood.

Where you work

This one is fully remote. We care where you are only insofar as the law does: you need the right to work in the UK already, because there is no office attached to this job for us to sponsor you into. Beyond that, work from wherever you work best.

We overlap a few hours a day and write the rest down. Most decisions live in documents and pull requests rather than meetings, which is partly a philosophy and mostly a consequence of being spread across time zones.

Pay and the rest of it

£55,000–£75,000 a year, reviewed every year against the market for where you live, plus share options — everyone here owns a piece of the company.
