Mobile Engineer, React Native

Our mobile apps are how a good share of customers actually invoice: in a van, in a salon, on a building site. They are built with React Native, and they ship with in-app purchases, which means store review cycles and all the particular care that goes with them.

You would own them. Not a slice of them — the release train, the crash rate, and the decisions about what belongs on a phone at all.

The work

What that involves:

• Build and release both apps with React Native
• Own the in-app purchase flow end to end
• Make drafting work offline and sync cleanly when signal comes back
• Keep releases predictable and the crash-free rate high
• Work into the native layer when the JavaScript is not the problem

What we are looking for

Three or more years shipping React Native to both stores — actually shipping, including the rejections.

Experience with mobile in-app purchases, offline-first sync and conflict resolution, and the patience store review demands.

Where you work

This one is fully remote. We care where you are only insofar as the law does: you need the right to work in the US already, because there is no office attached to this job for us to sponsor you into. Beyond that, work from wherever you work best.

We overlap a few hours a day and write the rest down. Most decisions live in documents and pull requests rather than meetings, which is partly a philosophy and mostly a consequence of being spread across time zones.

Pay and the rest of it

$110,000–$150,000 a year, reviewed every year against the market for where you live, plus share options — everyone here owns a piece of the company.
