Accept payments with GoCardless
To collect invoice payments by bank debit with GoCardless, you create a GoCardless account, verify your business, then click Connect in Aviy’s Payments dashboard. Your client authorises their bank once and the money is pulled directly from their account - typically cheaper than cards, and ideal for recurring billing. Aviy takes no fee.

Understand the timeline
When a client pays, they authorise a one-off bank debit on GoCardless’s secure page. The invoice shows "processing" while the banks settle - typically 2-5 business days - and Aviy marks it paid automatically on confirmation.
Frequently asked questions
Why bank debit instead of cards?
Fees are usually much lower (often ~1% capped), there are no card-expiry failures, and it’s the natural rail for recurring invoices and retainers.
How long does a payment take?
Unlike cards, bank debits settle in 2-5 business days depending on the scheme (BACS, SEPA, ACH). Aviy shows the invoice as processing until the banks confirm, then marks it paid automatically.
What does the client experience look like?
They tap the pay button on your invoice, land on GoCardless’s hosted page, pick their bank, and authorise the debit - no card numbers, no account creation.
What does GoCardless charge?
Standard pricing is around 1% + a small fixed fee per transaction (capped), varying by market. Aviy adds nothing on top.
Ready to get paid?
Create your first invoice free - then connect GoCardless from Dashboard → Payments and every invoice carries a pay button.
