What you’ll need

  • A business based in one of Square’s 8 supported countries
  • A government-issued ID (Square verifies the owner’s identity)
  • A bank account for payouts

Part 1

Set up your Square account

  1. 1

    Create your Square account

Go to squareup.com and click "Get started". Sign up with your email and choose your country and business type.

  2. 2

    Verify your identity

Square asks for your name, date of birth, and ID details (SSN last-4 in the US, or equivalent elsewhere). This is required before you can take payments.

  3. 3

    Set up your business location

Square creates a default business location from your details - this is where your Aviy payments will be recorded. You can rename it in Account & Settings → Locations.

  4. 4

    Link your bank account

Under Settings → Bank Accounts, add the account for transfers. Verification takes 1-2 business days; payouts then run on Square’s next-business-day schedule.

Part 2

Link it to Aviy

  1. 5

    Open Payments in Aviy

Log in to Aviy, go to Dashboard → Payments, and select the Square tab.

  2. 6

    Click "Connect Square"

Aviy sends you to Square’s permission page. Sign in and click Allow - this lets Aviy create payment links and read payment status on your behalf. Your login and bank details never touch Aviy.

  3. 7

    You’re live

You are redirected back to Aviy and the pane shows "Connected". From now on, every invoice you share includes a one-tap pay button for this provider, and Aviy marks invoices paid automatically when the money lands.

No fees, no custody: Aviy takes no fee on your transactions and never holds your money. Payments settle directly in your own Square account, at the provider’s standard rates.

Frequently asked questions

What does Square charge per transaction?

For online payments Square typically charges around 2.9% + 30¢ in the US (rates vary by country). Aviy adds nothing on top.

Do I need Square hardware?

No. Aviy uses Square’s online checkout - clients pay from the invoice link in their browser. No reader, no terminal.

I already use Square in my shop - can I reuse that account?

Yes, that’s the ideal setup. Connect your existing account and your Aviy invoice payments appear alongside your other Square sales.

How fast are Square payouts?

Typically the next business day. Instant transfer is available in some countries for a small fee.

Ready to get paid?

Create your first invoice free - then connect Square from Dashboard → Payments and every invoice carries a pay button.
