Accept payments with Stripe

To accept card payments on your Aviy invoices with Stripe, you create a free Stripe account, activate it with your business details, then click Connect in Aviy’s Payments dashboard. Payments settle directly into your own Stripe balance and bank account - Aviy takes no fee on your transactions.

What you’ll need

  • A business or sole-trader identity (registered company not required in most countries)
  • A government-issued ID for the account owner
  • A bank account in a supported country for payouts
  • Your business website or a description of what you sell (your Aviy profile works)

Part 1

Set up your Stripe account

  1. 1

    Create your Stripe account

Go to stripe.com and click "Start now". Sign up with your email, set a password, and pick the country where your business is based - the country cannot be changed later, so choose carefully.

  2. 2

    Verify your email

Stripe emails you a verification link. Click it to unlock the dashboard.

  3. 3

    Activate the account

In the Stripe dashboard, choose "Activate payments". Fill in your business type (individual, sole trader, or company), business details, and your personal details as the account representative.

  4. 4

    Add your payout bank account

Enter the bank account where Stripe should deposit your money. Payouts typically start on a 2-7 day rolling schedule depending on your country.

  5. 5

    Wait for verification

Stripe verifies your identity, usually within minutes to a day. You can already connect to Aviy while verification completes - charges enable as soon as Stripe approves.

Part 2

Link it to Aviy

  1. 6

    Open Payments in Aviy

Log in to Aviy, go to Dashboard → Payments, and select the Stripe tab.

  2. 7

    Click "Connect Stripe"

Aviy hands you to Stripe’s secure onboarding page. Sign in with the account you just created (or create one right there - the flow is the same).

  3. 8

    Approve the connection

Stripe asks you to confirm connecting your account to Aviy. Aviy only ever receives your account id and payment statuses - never your login or bank credentials.

  4. 9

    You’re live

You are redirected back to Aviy and the pane shows "Connected". From now on, every invoice you share includes a one-tap pay button for this provider, and Aviy marks invoices paid automatically when the money lands.

No fees, no custody: Aviy takes no fee on your transactions and never holds your money. Payments settle directly in your own Stripe account, at the provider’s standard rates.

Frequently asked questions

What does Stripe charge per transaction?

Stripe’s standard pricing is around 2.9% + 30¢ per successful card charge in the US - rates vary by country and card type. Aviy adds nothing on top: you keep your own Stripe rates.

Do I need a registered company to use Stripe?

No. In most countries Stripe supports individuals and sole traders - you select "Individual" during activation and use your personal details.

How fast do I get my money?

Stripe pays out on a rolling schedule - typically 2 business days in the US and UK, up to 7 in some countries. Your first payout can take a few extra days.

Can clients pay without a Stripe account?

Yes. Clients just tap the pay button on your invoice and enter their card - or use Apple Pay / Google Pay. No account needed on their side.

Ready to get paid?

Create your first invoice free - then connect Stripe from Dashboard → Payments and every invoice carries a pay button.
