Accept payments with Paystack
To accept payments in Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, South Africa, or Côte d’Ivoire on Aviy invoices, you create a Paystack business account, copy your secret key from Paystack’s dashboard, and paste it into Aviy’s Payments page. Clients pay by card, bank transfer, mobile money, or USSD; money settles to your own bank - Aviy takes no fee.

What you’ll need
- A business in a supported country (registered businesses get full limits; "starter" businesses can begin with personal details in some markets)
- Your bank account for settlements
- Business registration documents for full activation (CAC certificate in Nigeria, etc.)
Part 1
Set up your Paystack account

Create your Paystack account
Go to paystack.com and click "Create free account". Enter your business name, email, country, and phone number.

Activate your business
In the Paystack dashboard, complete the activation checklist: business profile, settlement bank account, and registration documents. Starter businesses (no registration yet) can activate with personal ID in some countries, with lower limits.

Wait for approval
Paystack reviews activation, typically within a business day. Test mode works immediately; live payments start on approval.

Copy your secret key
Go to Settings → API Keys & Webhooks in the Paystack dashboard and copy the Live secret key (it starts with sk_live_). Treat it like a password.

Link it to Aviy

Open Payments in Aviy
Log in to Aviy, go to Dashboard → Payments, and select the Paystack tab.

Paste your secret key
Paste the sk_live_ key into the field and click Connect. Aviy validates the key live against Paystack, then stores it encrypted (AES-256) - it is never shown again or shared.

You’re live
You are redirected back to Aviy and the pane shows "Connected". From now on, every invoice you share includes a one-tap pay button for this provider, and Aviy marks invoices paid automatically when the money lands.
Frequently asked questions
What does Paystack charge?
In Nigeria: 1.5% + ₦100 for local cards (the ₦100 is waived under ₦2,500, fees capped at ₦2,000). Other countries and international cards differ. Aviy adds nothing on top.
Is it safe to paste my secret key into Aviy?
Yes. Aviy validates the key with Paystack, then encrypts it with AES-256 before storing. It is used only to create payment links and verify payments for your invoices, and you can disconnect (which deletes it) at any time.
How can my clients pay?
Card, bank transfer, USSD, Visa QR, and mobile money - whatever channels are enabled on your Paystack account and country.
When does the money reach my bank?
Paystack settles to your bank on the next business day by default (T+1) in Nigeria; schedules vary by country.
