How the Discount Calculator works
A percentage discount reduces a price by a share of its value: 15% off $199 saves $29.85 and leaves $169.15 to pay. Discounts are a quick lever for winning a hesitant client or clearing stock, but they come straight out of your margin, so it pays to know the exact number before offering one.
To reverse the maths — finding the original price from a discounted one — divide the final price by one minus the discount. Model a client discount here, then bill the discounted total in a clean, professional invoice.
